Lives that have touched mine......

The internet has broadened my world in so many ways and my life has been enriched beyond my wildest dreams. I have found that our world is a vast one yet the people are so very similar in many ways. This may seem odd to those who have never chatted online much but from my travels I have learned that we all share common lives. All of the people I've met online have much to offer. Most are caring people who go through their lives trying to live it to the best of their abilities. They work their jobs, care for their families, revel in their accomplishments and come together to somehow make it through their sufferings. Everyone of them is a real individual even if all we ever see of them is some clever or whimsical handle in some sort of online chat.

All the friendships I've made online are very special to me. Many people have taken time away from what they've been doing whenever I've needed someone to listen to me and offer me comfort. I've always been able to count on them to provide a laugh or an instant smile. I really wish each one of them could look inside me and see what they have given me. I'm sure they would be proud to know the gift they have shared.

I won't attempt to mention by name all of those who have included me in their lives. Some of them I've only chatted with. I've been able to meet many others and keep in contact with them regularly. Alas, the number is too large and I'd hate for anyone to feel slighted should I forget to list them. Suffice it to say that I feel blessed to count them as friends and if any one of them doesn't realize how much I cherish our friendship then I feel that I have failed them in some way.

Another reason I don't mention my friends by name is that it's just too tough to keep up with them. Like everyone else, my circle of friends shifts and changes along with the everyday occurences in life. To keep adding and subtracting names would be both difficult and impractable.

I have two friends who I must make an exception for though.
Susan and Lisa have given me something that is so very rare.......true friendship in every way. They have comforted me when I've been down. They've scolded me when I've been wrong....made me laugh when I've been sad.....they've allowed me to be me, putting up with me even when I've made them feel less than comfortable......they have seen my heart and shared theirs with me. When we're together we may seem like the Three Stooges but we're more like the Three Musketeers....'one for all and all for one'. We've had our disagreements but our underlying friendship always carries us through them. While miles may keep us from visiting more than we'd like they are always in my thoughts.

They're both great cooks and let me play on their computers, too. *BG*

So much for the serious stuff.......Click on the link below to see pics of some of the people I've met from the net. I've had great fun with so many of them. *VBS* Perhaps you know some of them too. There are several pics so expect the page to take awhile to load.
